Ever wondered about which cars the rich and famous drive? We’ve made a list of some of the most impressive celebrity car collections so you can see how the other half truly live.
Rising to fame on The Big Breakfast and BBC Radio 2, Chris Evans has gained quite the reputation as an avid car collector, as well as being a bit of a speed fiend.
The most interesting vehicle Evans purchased was the only working car built for the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He sold it, alongside 12 other luxury cars from his collection, with the proceeds going to Children In Need.
He also owns several Ferraris, two Bentleys and two Daimlers as well as several other classic cars.
32-time Grammy winner Beyoncé, along with her rapper husband Jay-Z, has been dominating the music industry for over 20 years now. Between them they’ve amassed quite the fortune – some of which has been spent on luxury cars.
Jay-Z often makes reference to his cars in his music, and quite a few of them feature in his music videos too – most notably his ‘off-white Lexus’. When he first started out in the music industry, Jay-Z used to drive this Lexus around New York City and sell his CDs from it.
Beyoncé’s car collection may be small, but it’s no less impressive. Alongside a Tesla and a Rolls-Royce, she is also the proud owner of a Ferrari 458 and a Lamborghini Huracan. It’s a well-known fact that she loves to take her cars for a spin around her hometown of Houston, Texas.
It’s hard to picture Rowan Atkinson driving around in anything other than a lime-green Mini, but that’s one car you won’t find in his extensive collection.
Atkinson races cars as well as collecting them. He raced (and crashed) in both his Aston Martin V8 Zagato and his Ford Falcon Sprint, but won several trophies racing in his vintage Jaguar MkVII saloon.
Atkinson also owns some slightly more modern cars, including a Bentley Mulsanne Birkin-Edition that he often takes to red carpet events, and a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead in which he installed an experimental nine-litre V16 engine.
Everyone knows Paris Hilton’s iconic Barbie pink Bentley Continental GT, but she owns several other luxury cars as well.
Perhaps the most ‘out there’ is her BMW i8 Roadster. The car is covered in a holographic wrap that was inspired by her mermaid-esque Burning Man festival outfits, and she has said that this car matches her personality perfectly.
Hilton has also been spotted behind the wheel of a California Spyder Ferrari, a Bentley Continental GT Cabriolet and a Mercedes G Wagon AMG which makes her car collection worth over $1million.
Snoop Dogg is known for being rather eclectic, and his car collection is no different.
Snoop owns several Cadillacs, one of which – the Snoop de Ville Lowrider- is available in minature as a remote control toy. Lowriders, where the car is customised to sit lower to the ground, was popularised in LA hip-hop circles in the 1990s by Eazy-E and Dr Dre.
Snoop Dogg’s most eclectic vehicle comes in the form of a Polaris Slingshot, which he refers to as ‘The Batmobile’. Despite appearances, this vehicle is actually a motorcycle, and is the least expensive vehicle in Snoop’s collection.
Jay Leno, the American television host, has over 300 cars and bikes in his collection.
Among the many cars in his extensive garage is a 1937 Bugatti Type 57 SC replica. Only four of these cars were ever produced: one was hit by a train and destroyed, one was either destroyed or lost during the Nazi regime in Europe, and the other two are owned by Ralph Lauren and Peter W Mullin.
Leno had a replica built and regularly drives it around. Being a replica, there’s no $100+ million price tag attached to it, which discourages the owners of the originals from taking them out for a spin.
Leno has said that his favourite car in his collection is the 1972 Mercedes 600 Kompressor, while his favourite car company is McLaren.
